THE timber building which forms the back-drop to this picture was a beach hut used by Bexhill Amateur Athletic Club.
It was situated at the base of the steps leading to the beach opposite the Clock Tower on West Parade.
John Marchant, who submitted the shot, was pictured on the right of the group.
Club gymnast Jim Stentiford is sitting next to him. After that, John struggles to recall names. Two other others, he recalls, were brothers.
